Minimizing disruption during construction

Living Through a Home Remodel

Living through a home remodel is disruptive during the best of circumstances. Our goal is to set you up for success with a robust planning process and a detailed project timeline, but there are additional steps you can take to help us make this an optimal experience for you and your household.

Tell Us What You Need

Sharing your must-haves in your day-to-day life is extremely important. Rather than gutting it out and being miserable, let us try to find a way to meet your needs during our several weeks working together.

Is it impossible to go without that second bathroom for more than a day or two? Let’s talk about resetting the toilet temporarily while we work on the shower. Worried about being without a kitchen for an extended period? Let’s talk about some options.

Telling us what you need allows us to talk through options and look for ways we can accommodate. Help us understand your constraints.

Building dream spaces within your home is an investment of time and resources. We can help you move through each phase as smoothly as possible, setting you up for success through each step of the process. Let us help you bring those dreams into reality with an exceptional customer experience.

Provide a Dedicated Workspace

Whether the project is big or small, our team will need a space to work. Providing us with a dedicated space helps us be most efficient with our time and reduces the need for daily set up and take down, which ultimately reduces the project timeline.

Identifying a dedicated workspace will be a topic of conversation during the planning phase. Ben will walk through the site with you and discuss the best options for dedicating space, considering project efficiencies and minimizing disruption for your household.

Determine Your Aesthetic Priorities

Something we often see is an aesthetic vision that is out of alignment with budget constraints. Pinterest, for example, provides incredible imagery and helps us see your vision with great clarity. However, we are often reminded that Pinterest images are highly curated, utilizing expensive materials and often designed specifically for a “show stopper” experience. Most of the time, this means an extremely complex construction process with exceedingly high-end (and expensive) materials.

If you find Pinterest images that you love, please share them with us. And let’s discuss your aesthetic priorities - what is most important to you in these photos. If needed, we’re happy to help you find similar options that might be more budget friendly.

An example of this could be selecting herringbone tile for a backsplash or flooring. A herringbone pattern is beautiful, and is also extremely difficult to create consistently over a large surface. Installing herringbone tile is notably more expensive and will take much longer than other installation options.

If herringbone, or the like, is a must-have, we’ve got you! However, if your aesthetic priority is a modern kitchen remodel with other key elements and fixtures, you may want help identifying some options that meet your needs and budget. The most important thing for us is for you to get what you want.

ready for a frame to finish remodel?

"Responsive with bidding and completed it on schedule"

We’re glad we chose to go with Ben and Bret and the team at Frame to Finish for our project which included front steps, a landing and new entry door. They were responsive with bidding and our initial inquiry and punctual with the work and completed it on schedule. Best of all, they worked with us on our preferences and were creative about helping us stay within budget which was a big concern for us. They are skilled and operate with integrity and I can’t recommend them enough to others. We love our front steps and new door and will enjoy them for years to come.

"You will be glad you trusted your project to them."

Ben and his crew did a major repair and remodel on a very challenging, older, custom construction home that was an investment property for us. Throughout the project, Ben was friendly, respectful, and easy to communicate with on all things, even challenging, less-than-pleasant issues that came up. Ben delivers very detailed, well-written, clear, responsive emails and explanations on everything going on with your project in a very timely manner. The finished results on the home were stellar and exceeded what we hoped for when the project began.

"We were so happy with the decks that we had them come back"

We had two cedar decks with railing and stairs built by Frame to Finish and we were so happy with the decks that we had them come back and put in a tile floor in our master bathroom.

They were at all times courteous and professional.

We recommended them to our sister in law, she’s having them do some work in her kitchen. A wonderful group!

"Excellent communication and execution of a wide variety of projects."

Frame to Finish did a major part of the giant remodel we accomplished in 2021 and did beautiful work. Ben and Bret have consistently been excellent at communication and execution of a wide variety of projects. They did general demolition and construction, two bathroom remodels (multiple rooms in both baths), tile wainscot, trim, and tile flooring with in-floor heat, created a custom platform for the raised soaking tub, maple flooring, and laundry room remodel. Ben always had solid advice, was compliant with our personal covid protocol, and was a joy to have around.

"Ben was very straight-forward about what could and should be done."

Ben Jones and his team really came to our rescue after a water pipe burst in October and left a lot of damage on two floors. Ben was very straight-forward about the damage and what could and should be done. We worked out a plan/budget with his help identifying options. Supply chain problems caused some delays, but that wasn't the contractor's fault and Ben did everything possible to adjust to get things done. The crew were polite, responsive, diligent and conscientious about cleaning up. The work was carefully and professionally done. I recommend them without reservation.

Rosina Lippi

"We really enjoyed working with the entire crew.

Ben and crew completed the tile floor, walls and shower for our bathroom remodeling project. We really enjoyed working with the entire crew.

Communication was great and Ben was especially responsive when the inevitable issues arose during the process. Definitely recommend!
